The Slideshow template is used to help organize and present information.
Slideshow can set up a storyline, introduce characters, and show documents or images. Elements of the slideshow can be textual, images, video, charts, question inputs, and AI avatars.
DESIGN USAGE
Informing
The most common and practical use of the slideshow template is to provide information to the learner. The slideshow presents the information in an organized way and is all in one place. It can appear at the beginning of the simulation to set up the storyline or be used in areas where more information is needed to push the storyline forward.
Engaging
If the simulation has a few characters, each character can be represented by an AI avatar. The AI avatars can be introduced via the slideshow template as an added layer of engagement to bring the story to life.
CONTENT WORD COUNT
Slideshow title (maximum of ~7-10 words)
Slideshow description (maximum of ~70 words)
CONFIGURATION
Number of Slides
You are not limited on the number of slides you can add, however, to prevent cognitive overload, we suggest between 2 and 6 slides (maximum of 8-10).
Create Unique Slides
Each page within a slideshow template is essentially a free-form "Page Builder" template. You can add rows and columns in addition to adding a number of customized elements like text, images, videos, AI avatars, charts, and/or question inputs (radio buttons, drop downs, etc.).
Required Viewing
You can require the learner to review each slide prior to moving forward in the simulation. When setting up a Slide Show activity, in the slideshow configuration tab, choose the “ALL SLIDES REQUIRED” button (toggled ON).
PRO TIPS 💡
If using 2 or more slides, intersperse images and/or videos to alleviate content overload.
If using video, keep them short (2 minutes maximum)
