Introduction to The Regis Approach to Experiential Learning Design

Purpose

The SimGate platform was created based on Regis' human-centered design philosophy and out of the need to build robust, engaging, sim-driven learning solutions quickly and affordably. Therefore, this foundational course is meant to demystify our approach to experiential learning so that you can take full advantage of the SimGate tools.

So, whether you are a long-time Instructional designer, diving into sim-driven design for the first time, or you are new to Regis' approach to scenario-based learning, this course is for you.

You can expect this course to:

✅ Introduce you to the Regis approach to Experiential Learning Design

✅ Increase your awareness of the types of learning experiences SimGate can deliver

✅ Show how we use our tools to quickly build engaging, practice-based experiences for learners

⚠️ ATTENTION! This course is designed for you to go through it as a learner would. For access, you will "sign up" via self-registration using your choice of email and password.

There are no set credentials for this course - they CAN be the same as your other SimGate credentials if you want.

The course will take approximately 20-45 minutes to complete

(depending on whether you explore all bonus information).

  1. In the SIGN IN modal, on the bottom right, click "Sign Up"

  2. Create Account: Fill out your name, email, and choose a password.

    1. This email and PW combo can be the same as your other SimGate credentials.

  3. Click "Sign Up" to launch the course.

    1. When you are done with the course, you will have the option to review or log out. You can always login again to review it as many times as you'd like!
