Once configured, this feature tracks the total number of times a learner completes the course and reports this data in the Decision Report Download.
Complete the following steps to capture learner course completion data:
Go to the Settings in the top navigation of your project page and set up the completion state.
Once the completion state is set up, the decision report will track how many times a learner reaches it.
In the decision report, total course completions appear under Global > Course Status.
When you download the decision report, it will display course completion counts for each individual or team listed.
Using the Course Completion Variable on a Report
Use the course completion variable to create a custom report that can be viewed in the dashboard.
To select the course completion variable, navigate to Global > Course > Course Status > Total Course Completions.
For example, an author can create a report that displays each user's name and the number of times they have completed the course.
To set this up:
Go to Dashboard settings and add a Page Builder.
Edit the Page Builder and add a Rich Text field.
Insert the User Name variable in one column and the Course Completion variable in another.
Use Row Repeat to capture data for each user or team. (row repeat will capture up to 10 rows of data).
Using Course Completion Variable in the Wireflow
If you want to direct learners to a resource or remedial activity after they have taken a course a certain number of times. Use the Destination State Logic in the Wireflow:
Click on the course completion state where you want the learner to branch from.
Set the destination state logic to Global > Course > Course Status > Total Course Completions.
Then, define the number of attempts and specify the next state when the logic is met.
Variable Compatibility and Supported Elements
This variable is compatible with public simulation links, SCORM, and Studio Preview mode.
Self-Register URL: It works, but users appear as "undefined undefined" due to a bug.
