Editing Outputs
In ReX, editing outputs are highlighted with light blue boxes. These indicate the expected content structure for seamless Studio imports. For example, bulleted lists appear as separate, editable sections within these boxes to maintain proper formatting.
💡NOTE: If you delete the text within a bullet point, the bullet itself will still appear. It can be removed later in Studio after import. An improvement to bullet list editing is coming soon!
Paragraphs will also be contained in a single blue box, allowing free editing.
❗Authors should still be mindful of word count limits—ReX does not currently provide alerts if limits are exceeded.
When an edit is made to the content, an author will be able to Save their edits or Discard their edits.
To ensure content is formatted for the best learner experience in Studio, the Rich Text Editor (RTE) in ReX has limited functionality. If a field is designed to display bold text, it will appear that way automatically. Any additional formatting can be applied after the content is imported into Studio.
FAQ
How do I make the content closer to what I'm looking for?
As a co-author, you need to vet and refine the text results because they will inform all subsequent content ReX generates in this project! So make sure to:
Bring your main character to life by describing who they are in more detail to ensure your main character’s situation feels relatable to your target learners.
Enter details and specifics to generate the best results. If you didn't get an output you like, add more details to your answer and regenerate the response.
Highlight the text on any generated content to view the rich text editor and click the Ask AI button to help you rewrite the text (i.e. make it shorter, summarize, or prompt ReX to alter the tone or context).
Take the time to add color to your case context or storyline. The right storyline context makes a sim “feel real”
What do I do if the Prerequisite prompts are not aligned with my use case or scenario?
Choose a ReX project that best fits your design goals. Use Microlearning for short, knowledge-based experiences, or Simulation Starter for scenario-based learning in a business context. More project types will be available soon!
Does ReX AI create final, ready-to-publish learning content?
No. While all of the content generated in our SimGate tools is unique and purposefully prompted to give you valuable content, ALL auto-generated content must be reviewed for accuracy and its fit for purpose. ReX AI will not give you final learning content, but rather is a place to start. While much faster than generating content from scratch, final learning content requires human involvement and therefore is ultimately a unique creation of the designer/developer.
Can ReX AI provide source information for generated content?
No, content generated by standard GPT models does not include source information, as it generates original content without directly quoting pre-existing materials. However, ReX allows users to upload source documents to leverage the LLM for creating new expressions based on those documents, enabling access to the underlying references.
