FAQ

Is ReX AI auto-generated content ready to be published?

  • No. While all of the content generated in our SimGate tools is unique and purposefully prompted to give you valuable content, ALL auto-generated content must be reviewed for accuracy and its fit for purpose. ReX AI will not give you final learning content, but rather is a place to start. While much faster than generating content from scratch, final learning content requires human involvement and therefore is ultimately a unique creation of the designer/developer.

Is ReX based on ChatGPT?

  • No , ReX does not use ChatGPT. Instead, it operates on our private instance of the GPT model, hosted and scaled on Azure Cloud. This setup ensures enterprise-grade security and isolation, managed by Azure as a part of its secure, enterprise-ready services, leveraging OpenAI technology.

How can ReX use GPT if it's developed by OpenAI?

  • There's often confusion between OpenAI, the company, and its GPT models. OpenAI developed the GPT series (e.g., GPT-4), and while they offer access to these models through ChatGPT, Microsoft Azure enables enterprises to host private instances of the GPT model. ReX uses such a private instance, making it our bespoke application built upon OpenAI's model technology.

Can ReX provide source information for generated content?

  • No , content generated by standard GPT models does not include source information, as it generates original content without directly quoting pre-existing materials. However, ReX allows users to upload source documents to leverage the LLM for creating new expressions based on those documents, enabling access to the underlying references.

Is ReX Beta separate from SimGate Studio?

  • Yes, while ReX Beta operates independently, it seamlessly integrates with Studio. The integration involves a simple export-import process. The integration process generates the flow of the sim in Studio, placing your content into the appropriate pages.

Does SimGate Studio include any ReX AI features?

  • Yes, One-Click Sim and Meet AI Text assistant

    • One-Click Sim - Auto generates a series of challenging activities that create the foundation for a scenario-based sim through our proprietary generative AI tool (using our privately deployed and secure instance of the OpenAI GPT model).

    • Ask ReX AI Text assistant - available in Rich Text Editors all around the tool! Prompt it to generate text or ask it to rewrite selected text and then insert or replace your selection. We made quick actions available so you can make text shorter, longer, get definition or extract action items in one click.

In SimGate Studio, if I use ReX to edit content in the Rich Text Editor (RTE), is our content secure?

  • Yes, like ReX Beta stand alone tool, our ReX RTE uses the same privately deployed and secure instance of the OpenAI GPT model.

Do I have to use ReX AI features in Studio?

  • No, they are features available for use but not required or essential to use.

What do I do if the Prerequisite prompts are not aligned with my use case or scenario?

  • This current set of templates was designed for learning experiences within a business environment, so the prompts are geared towards that genre.

  • However, you can still use ReX for scenarios that are outside of the business environment and get quality content!

    • Use your best judgment to answer the prompts and use the ReX in-line editor to refine the output and align the content to the learning needs.
