One-step download = A seamless integration between your LMS and your project in the SimGate platform.

SCORM + your LMS

  • A SCORM file is used to integrate your LMS with our SimGate platform, allowing end users to access a published release of a project via the LMS.

  • SCORM stands for “Sharable Content Object Reference Model.”

    • SCORM is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products and tells programmers how to write their code so that it can “play well” with other eLearning software.

  • Once the downloaded "Public site SCORM Package" zip file is sent to your LMS owner and they import it into the LMS, your LMS will always point to your project's most recent published version.

    • In other words, you do not have to keep sending a file!

  • In layman's terms, SCORM is...

    • Pointing to the latest released version of a project in SimGate

    • Connecting the LMS to SimGate (the release is still sitting on the SimGate platform)

    • Enabling users to access SimGate from a client's LMS (i.e. LMS is now the point of entry (login) vs. SimGate)
