Want to track individual learner progress and ensure accurate reporting?

Leverage Single Sign On (SSO) to capture participant's unique employee identifier.

For better tracking and insights, you have full control over whether you want to include employee ID data in your reporting.

  • When a learner logs into SimGate using SSO, it automatically captures their name and email address to display in the SimGate Dashboard.

  • Optionally, you can capture employee ID data, and depending on your specific needs, you can toggle this feature on or off (default is on).

  • The user decision report can be found within the session on the Dashboard.



Enabling Client-side SSO Data Capture

Clients will need to update their SSO settings to add the associated employee ID to their attribute mapping.

  • In the screenshot below, it is shown how to set up sending Employee ID in Google.

  • Each SSO provider may have their own setup and instructions.



Steps to Disable Employee ID Data Capture

IMPORTANT!

  • The Data Capture toggle defaults to “on”. If you want to turn it “off” follow these steps!

  • To capture employee ID data using SSO and have it appear on the decision report, existing projects must be republished using the latest version of Studio.

  1. In your Studio project wireflow, click on the Settings icon in your top navigation

  2. You’ll see the data capture toggle, click the toggle to turn the data capture off.

What happens when I toggle the Employee ID data capture on?

  • The employee’s ID or other unique identifier will be captured and displayed on the decision report.

What happens when I toggle the Employee ID data capture off?

  • Nothing. No additional data will be captured, and will not show up on the decision report.

I have the Employee ID data capture toggled on, but why is the data is not showing up on the report?

  • Ensure that your SSO settings are configured to capture employee IDs by correctly mapping them to the corresponding attributes.
