Use ReX to effortlessly create engaging branched video and conversation activities that let learners explore different paths based on their choices. Once you're done, simply export the activity to Studio!
Video: See it in action
❗Keep in mind, this video walks through the Conversation Activity. You would follow the same steps for a Video Branching Conversation.
DIY STEPS
In a ReX project after you complete the prerequisites complete the following steps:
💡 Note!
The steps below are the same for both the Conversation Activity and the Video Branching Activity.
Videos and scripts are auto-generated and written to be spoken!
Configure your Conversation Activity or Video Branching Activity
Under "Learning Experience," click Add Page and choose Conversation Activity or Video Branching Activity.
Drag and drop the Introduction Block into the center of the blue workspace.
Click on Introduction and complete the three prompt steps.
When finished, click the Continue button. A green checkmark will appear on the Introduction Block.
Next, drag and drop the Statement and 3 Responses Block into the blue workspace.
Connect the Introduction Block to the Statement and 3 Responses Block.
Click on the Statement and 3 Responses Block and complete the 3 steps.
When finished, click the Continue button at the end. A green checkmark will appear on the Statement and 3 Responses Block.
Continue building your conversation branches by repeating steps 5-8. Connect each new Statement and 3 Responses Block to a specific answer option from the previous block.
NOTE: Remember, you can only connect one answer option to one Statement and 3 Responses Block.
To end the conversation, drag and drop a Conversation Conclusion block and connect it to an answer option. Ensure each answer option at the end has its own Conversation Conclusion block.
💡 Note! When your content is exported using a Rex template set, each answer option is aligned to that template set’s scoring approach. In studio, each answer option will be labeled according to that scoring approach ( e.g. less optimal, correct response, best option, etc..)
Export to Studio
When Importing into Studio, if you've selected the "Video Branching Activity", it will import as Video Branching Response versus the Conversation activity within Studio.
