DIY STEPS

How to Add Auto-closed Captions in Studio

First, create your chosen media element by adding the script and then generating the video or audio (NOTE: the example screenshots demonstrate the steps for an AI Avatar video).

To add auto-close captions to your audio or video content, complete the following steps:

Open the edit panel for the media component.

Click the “cc” to auto-generate the closed captions

A message will appear at the bottom of the screen letting you know you can navigate away from the page while the closed captions are generating

Once your closed captions have finished generating, you’ll see the file appear under closed captions in the left edit panel, and you’ll see a message appear at the bottom of the screen.

A closed caption “cc” indicator will now appear on the video

Click on the “cc” indicator to enable the closed captioning text when viewing the video.

How to Edit a Closed Captioning Script

Click on the download icon in the Closed Captions section of the Edit Panel

This will open a new window with your closed caption file.

Select the location you would like to save the file to and save it to your computer.

Open the file in a text editor Notepad (Windows), Text Edit (Mac).
