Creating a new project is quick and easy! Whenever you need to create a new, blank project (starting from scratch or using a ReX template), follow the steps below.

Starting from a ReX Smart Template
Starting from a ReX Smart Template streamlines your workflow. Projects automatically connect to a ReX Smart Template for faster prototyping, launch from a single point that links ReX to Studio, and are organized in “My Projects” for easy access and management.
If you have never created a project before, you will see a screen that says “Design your first project.”
To get started, you should:
Select a Smart Template from the available options in the menu.
Follow the guided steps to create your new project.
Starting from Scratch in Studio
If you’d prefer to build a custom experience from the ground up, you can create a blank project directly in Studio—no ReX Smart Template required.
This is a great option if you want full control over the HLD and learner journey rather than starting with a pre-built template.
Click All Projects on the bottom left corner of the page.
Select New Project from the top navigation of the Home Screen
3. You will be prompted with a Project Created pop-up where you will have the choice to: "see details page" or "edit in studio".
If you click “see details page,” you can rename your project, add a description, and add an image. Follow the directions below in the section: Edit the Project's Name and Description, Upload a Project Image, or Archive the Project
If you click “edit in studio,” you will be taken to SimGate Studio to begin authoring your new project.

Select the Edit Pencil Icon in the upper right

TIP 💡: Ensure the photo size does not exceed 100MB or dimensions of 2000x1120 pixels.
